So I'm making it my mission to share more and get back to regular blogging. I'm not sure if I will stick to a daily or weekly schedule of what I will post (like I had originally planned for this year) as I'd rather just blog what I am feeling for that day rather than feel pressured (by myself in all fairness) to stick to some type of schedule. Then it feels forced and not genuine...and I am not a fan of forced anything!! So here we go...hello June!! Hello Summer!!
National Scrapbook Day was back in the beginning of May (just about a month ago now) on May 3rd. I took some time off from work to spend that weekend scrapping away and participate in several challenges at both Studio Calico and 2peas. It was the first time in a long time I was actually able to play along in the daily festivities and I might plan a long weekend for it again next year!! Loved all that crafty time!!! I created several projects that weekend that I've posted at Studio Calico and 2 peas, but now I want to share them here. So I hope your prepared for an influx of scrappiness over the next few days!!
The first layout I wanted to share was one I put together for a scraplift challenge at Studio Calico. It was a member challenge and I lifted the most amazing Maggie Holmes.
I love this layout!!! Loved lifting Maggie!! If I'm ever in a scrapping rut, I usually go to my bookmarks at Studio Calico or 2peas to lift a layout and usually find myself drifting towards one of Maggie's layouts! She's great at layering and simplicity. That photo I used is a selfie my hubby and I took back in March while being local tourists at Downtown Disney. We were out in front of the Lego store and snapped one with that dragon behind us. Looks a bit funny with the dragon coming out of our heads, but I still love it nonetheless!!
I'll be back sharing more layouts I put together during NSD weekend over the next few days. I am also planning to share our summer bucket list sometime in the near future (which my hubby and I have decided will run from Memorial Day to Labor Day)...and since we don't have kids, I'm hoping we can give some options to those childless families for a fun and exciting summer. If you've got anything fun planned for summer...please share...we are always looking for fun and new things to do/try over the summer!!!
Thanks for stopping by!!!
